For the beautiful souls carved by rivers
Have you ever stood by a river, mesmerized by its sheer beauty, and felt your soul shift? Rivers have that effect—their tranquil flow, life-giving waters, and unyielding power to shape the land inspire and change us in profound ways.
The Crystal River in Redstone, Colorado, is one such place, winding through the heart of the Rocky Mountains, where lush greenery meets towering cliffs, and the magic of nature is undeniable.
Each year, the state-wide non-profit, Water Education Colorado, hosts Water Leaders from all over the state to learn about leadership to help manage water resources in the state for all. Redstone, Colorado is a common destination for one of their in-person classes. The Crystal River flows by and, for the Water Leaders who arrive there, its magic changes them forever.
This was certainly true for me. I spent a few days in Redstone during my time in the program, and left that session hungry to paint after 10 years away from it. Now, I can't stop painting. The ideas and paintings flow like a river and my life is changed.
